
SPRING SKILLS CLINIC
The Spring Skills Clinic program begins in mid-April and runs for 6 weeks until late May. The program is designed provide off-season training and skill development for Salt Lake County Youth Hockey players. It is intended for players with at least one season of league experience. The program is held generally at the County Ice Center in Murray although one or both of the other County ice facilities may be used depending on scheduling requirements. The clinic meets once per week for 90 minutes. A different training and skill development topic is introduced each week including skating, puck handling, passing, and shooting.

SUMMER 3 ON 3 LEAGUE
- begins in mid-June and runs for 6 weeks until late-July
- 3 on 3 is played across the ice, and emphasizes puck-handling, passing, and teamwork
- each team plays three 3 on 3 games each week
- the same age division designations are used (Mites, Squirts, Pee Wees, and Bantams).
- there are 4 teams in each age division with a maximum of 8 skaters on each team's roster
- two games are played simultaneously in a tournament environment
- each game is 15 minutes in length
- At the conclusion of the first game the teams rotate and play a second game against a different opponent. Following the second game the teams rotate again and a third game is played.
